Policies / Rules

Proper Conduct. We strive to uphold a family-oriented environment. As such, we always expect proper and respectful conduct on our premises.

Proper Attire:  Please wear proper attire, including shirts and appropriate tennis shoes for clay courts.  

​

Adult Clinics:  We do not refund or allow make-ups for prepaid adult clinic fees for missed sessions.

​

Youth Tennis Make-Up Policy:   No makeups for missed sessions. 

​

Youth Tennis Cancellation/Refund Policy.

​

1. OGTA reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registration, prior to, or following, the first class of the semester. Appropriate refunds will be granted.

2. Refunds are not available for cancellations made after the first class of the session, or for students registering late in the semester.

3. All requests must be submitted in writing.

4. Trial classes may be available for students unsure of enrollment and charged the daily rate of the class.

5. Students may transfer from one class to another during the semester if there is availability. Additional class fees may apply if there is a price differential between classes.

6. Refunds or make up’s are not available for absences, transportation delays, inclement weather, withdrawals, dismissals, strike/work stoppage, natural disaster or reasons beyond the control of OGTA, disrupts or forces the cancellation of class.

Weekly Sign-Up Classes. Refunds or make-ups are not available for any missed sessions. Cancellations must be made 24-hours in advance. Player will be charged if they “no show” or if cancellation is made in less than 24-hours.

Court Rentals:  Cancelations must be made within 24 hours.

​

Season Courts:  The club reserves the right to adjust court assignments as necessary to optimize junior and adult programming.

WAIVER and Disclosure Agreement:

By choosing to participate you give up your right to bring a court action to recover compensation or obtain any other remedy for any personal injury or property damage however caused arising out of your participation in Old Greenwich Tennis Academy (“Company”) Programs now or at any time in the future.

1. Participation in the Company fitness activities comes with inherent risks. I have full knowledge and understanding of the inherent risks associated with participation in the Company fitness programs and facilities, including but in no way limited to: (1) slips, trips, and falls, (2) athletic injuries, and (3) illness, including exposure to and infection with viruses or bacteria. The risk of injury from the activities involved in the program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular skills, equipment, and personal discipline is offered by the Company and may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; I further acknowledge that the preceding list is not inclusive of all possible risks associated with fitness program participation and facility use and that said list in no way limits the operation of this Agreement;

 

2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE Company or any of the “Releases” identified below and I fully assume responsibility for determining my own fitness to participate and for my participation: and,

 

3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and all consequences thereof and conditions for participation as in effect from time to time. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard of physical condition or response during my presence of participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the Company immediately;
